Obvious Gravity Site Launched!

Posted by Jordan on January 31, 2017

Hey y'all, Obvious Gravity checking in for the first time!

The Obvious Gravity site has gone live, and we are excited! I thought we'd take a moment and tell you who we are, including what game we are currently working on. Obvious Gravity is a small indie team based in the South San Francisco Bay area. We have a love for pixel games, and have spent a lot of time (probably too much) playing NES and SNES games.

Currently we are working on an 8-bit 2D Platformer game where the player takes on the role of Otto, an experienced archaeologist who collects legendary artifacts from many different mythological stories. Many of our game features are highly inspired from the NES Megaman series, which you'll soon see in our future blog updates! I'll give more information about the game in our next post, including the art and design process, but for now please enjoy the gameplay sketch at the top of this post!

We'll be using this site to document the development of our 8-bit game. We'll be posting updates about our art, game design, programming, videos, and more!

If you dig the look of our game so far, please follow us on Twitter where we will have more frequent updates and pictures. We want to get the word out and would love to hear what you think!
